Comet Gain - An Arcade From the Warm Rain That Fall

Label: Fortuna POP!
Format: 7"
Superb ramshackle pop on new vinyl single from British indie pop band, Comet Gain

Review

An Arcade From the Warm Rain That Falls’ is the latest single from ‘Howl of the Lonely Crowd’, indie pop band Comet Gain’s first album in six years. It begins sounding like a melodic Byrds track before going hyper catchy in the band’s usual twee pop way, and pushing you off your feet while you are not looking. ‘I Take It To My Baby' sounds totally amateurish, which is what Comet Gain do best. It has a great drum and bass led rhythm to it which makes this track so very special. ‘You’re Just Lonely’ is sung as a duet between David Feck and Rachel Evans, and is both very twee and a lovely slice of summer. A very enjoyable single.
