Excellent twee pop on new six track 7' EP from the ukelele-playing Bobby McGee's.
Review
The Bobby McGee’s second release on Cherryade Records, 'S’Amuser Com des Fous' carries on from 'Yes, Please!' with six more fantastic twee-pop hits sure to have you grinning over the festive period. The vocal to-and-fro-ing of El and Jimmy is charming and funny; the use of ukuleles makes the EP sound like a twisted ‘Playschool’ song (the lyrical content is often not suitable for kids, however).
Long live the Bobby McGee’s ! They’re brilliant live, and it translates perfectly to recordings. Perhaps they’ll bring Floella Benjamin on board for their next record ? We can only hope!
