New band Good Shoes make what they describe as ""danceable, shed rehearsed guitar music" and have a rising reputation.
The band, which was formed in 2004 in the South London suburb of Morden by former school friends, Rhys Jones, Joel Cox, Steve Leach and Tom Jones, put out their first single, 'Small Town Girl', on the tiny Young and Lost Club label in 2005.
After being talent spotted when they played a set at an Artrocker Magazine club night in August of that year, Good Shoes moved to the larger Brille Records. They have released a subsequent three singles, 'All in My Head' (which earned them a 'NME' front cover spot), 'The Photos on My Wall' and 'Never Meant to Hurt You', and their debut album, 'Think Before You Speak', which the band travelled to Malmo in Sweden to record.
These photos were taken by Anna Gudaniec exclusively for Pennyblackmusic on March 29th, three days after 'Think Before You Speak' was released, at a headline gig at the Mean Fiddler in London.
