Belltowers - Here to Stay

Label: Market Square Records
Format: 7"
Fantastic vinyl-only single from Florida-based 1960's pop-influenced act, the Belltowers

Review

The Belltowers, who come from Florida, know and love their 1960's pop. Both of the tracks here shine brightly with the sounds of that golden era. They have been around since 2006, but sadly this is only their second only 45. 'Here to Stay' is the longest of the two tracks here, clocking in at 3 minutes 22 seconds. It is very trippy with its heavenly Rickenbacker guitar sound, while a powerful Hammond organ adds further grit. Although the title track is more reminiscent of the Fab Four during the mid 1960s, 'Lovin' You' captures the sound of another four, L.A's the Byrds with its jangling guitars and honey-laced, sun-drenched vocals. Floppy-fringed guitar pop at its Paisley best.
