Vogue Dots - Toska

Label: Indica Records
Format: CDS
Mediocre and predictable debut EP from New Brunswick-based electronic duo, Vogue Dots

Review

Are Vogue Dots retro Human League or vaguely acquainted with Thompson Twins? They are as smooth though as the recent Cuban Boys offshoot, Spray. Vogue Dots provide lightly nasal but dreamy female vocals on this Canadian EP of mellow synth pap. It's not that often that a band aptly describes its own predictabilty and boredom, yet Vogue Dots manage to do exactly that. I'd be mean to do, but I could have left this review just there. It remains to be seen whether Vogue Dots are entirelessly talentless, but, however, on the strength of this five-song mediocrity their chances seem dim. Amazingly boring.
