Label: Sea You Records
Format: CD
Disorientating and dull synth pop on self-titled debut album from Berlin-based chanteuse, Uma

Review

A collection of silly Berlin synth pop, the chanteuse of this self-titled debut album bears a vague resemblance to Sandy Denny, but, however, suffering from a severe cold if not worse, which contributes to an overall general sense of disorientation. The electronica drizzle on this Uma album perfectly shows how to evade or to escape being challenging. Mildly danceable and disturbed by only a few moments of originality, this album faces a hard task to even finish its course. It is not really dreadful; just tedious. Not Berlin at all, but rather Bielefeld. Autobahnality. And gradually worse than that.
