Swedish sisters Lina and Maja Westin front a band that make music that their press release describes as "honed, honeyed, eerie and rough around the edges." I was not really sure what to expect from their latest single. Having pressed play as instructed what I got what a vocal that by turns is soulful, slightly raspy and sweet. It is offbeat with Hammond organ snatches that invoke the Doors and are washed all over with bright swirls of psychedelic rock. Suddenly the description above made sense and at 3 minutes 46 seconds long the single felt too short. Caviare Days are an excellent band, and one I hope to hear more of.
