Midnight Faces - Fornication

Label: Broken Factory
Format: CD
Melodramatic but insubstantial-sounding electronica on debut album from Los Angeles-based duo, Midnight Faces

Review

Fame hungry popsters Midnight Faces cook up a dish of New Order, Pet Shop Boys and a-ha, garnished with pretty much anything that sounds Scandinavian and melodramatic. Dripping to the rim with insincerity, 'Fornification' is gorgeously superfluous. Abundant with all the clichés, sauced with the most predictable 4by4 beats, Midnight Faces works like awful karaoke afternoon sessions when untalented office twats mount to the stage, only to embarrass themselves for the rest of their lives. This must be what truck drivers whistle to on the Reikjavik circular road, given a quiet day of course. The best bit to this CD is that you can stop it from playing.
