While all formed only just about a year ago, Savages, Palma Violets and Death At Sea have all been attracting a lot of interest on blogs and their Souncloud pages.
Savages are an all-girl London post-punk quartet, who have amassed a huge buzz around them in the six months since they played their debut gig supporting British Sea Power. The group's jagged guitar sound has drawn them comparisons with Joy Division and Siouxsie and the Banshees, and they have recently also toured with the Vaccines.
London band Palma Violet's dark rock influences include the Doors, the Velvet Underground and Spiritualized, while Liverpudlian act Death At Sea have an American college rock sound.
These photographs of Savages, Palma Violet and Death at Sea were taken by Marie Hazelwood at a gig at The Leaf in Liverpool on the 25th July
