Patrick Watson - Adventures in Your Own Backyard

Label: Domino Records
Format: CD
Introspective, but uninspiring fourth album from Montreal-based singer-songwriter, Patrick Watson

Review

It is a case of mood over momentum on these 'Adventures In Your Own Backyard' which is already Patrick Watson's fourth album. He is from Montreal, even though I first thought he was Terence Trent d'Arby's smarter brother. The introspection in the lyrics works well, like on 'Noisy Sunday' yet ultimately the listener may feel like he or she is on the edge of nausea. It's a very tasty sleeping pill.
