Patrick Cleandemin - Radio Heartbreak

Label: Broken Horse
Format: CD
Shallow third album of 1970's-influenced retro rock from New York-based musician, Patrick Cleandemin

Review

It remains of course to be seen whether an artist name like Cleandenim can be be taken seriously. Striving to be the next Billy Idol, Patrick's Jeans Laundry sports a punky look, whilst his album implies to please all the rebellious factions known to our Patrick. 'Radio Heartbreak' sets off reliving the 1970's. The title track grabs and conjures up all those qualities, but, however, soon enough you'll grow tired. 'In My Baby's Eyes' will perhaps be the track that the lesser souls of radio will pick upon. In short, Patrick Pure Trousers, may become a star in his own right. Not on the strength of music, it must be noted. 'Radio Heartbreak' reminds me most of all of TV-ads for jeans. The music is a safe mix of the Doobie Brothers and Sherbet. How's that? Umpire signals 'wide'. A waste of effort, should you ask me.
