Mixed-sounding nu-funk on vinyl EP from American techno musician, Rennie Pilgrim
Review
This is where Rennie Pilgrim steps upfront and shows us his funky boots but just as well conveniently retreats.
Rennie's getting the knack of churning out credible fancy fair mayhem dance pop. These feature guest vocals from Arianne Shreiber and make for good daytime radio music. I prefer his slightly mysterious dubs and the wild nu-funk. No samples are used, but 'Hold On' and '555' bring in genuine nu-funk.
It is a very mixed bag this EP and you'll love one side, whilst you probably loathe the other.
