Emotive and heavily European-influenced soundtrack from the Oxford-based Ralfe Band to new indie film
Review
For 'Mighty Boosh' director Paul King’s movie debut, Ralfe Band created a soundtrack that brings together a range of European styles and influences to compliment the road-trip in the narrative to 'Bunny and the Bull'. Even with all these disparate influences, however, the sound is still very much that found on Ralfe Band’s two previous recordings, 'Swords' (2005) and 'Attic Thieves' (2008).
Bunny and the Bull’s soundtrack is reminiscent of the film work of composers Jon Brion and Yann Tiersen; emotive, affecting, and equally enjoyable heard as part of the film or as an entity unto itself. 22 tracks that, while short, are undeniably sweet.
