I want to be your rock n roll
If you’re a tent I’ll be the pole
You’re my James Brown complete with soul
If I’m on fire then you’re the coal
You’re the petrol in my car
If you need support I’ll be your bra
I want to feed your parking meter
You make the bitterest memory sweeter
Rainy days are always sunny
You’re the fun that makes it funny
I don’t need sugar when I’ve got you honey
You’ve always got a hanky when my nose is runny
When it pours you’re the brolly
Your smile stops me going off my trolley
You’re the stop that halts my leak
My tinnitus ceases when I hear you speak
I’d run a marathon with my Athlete’s foot
Just to save you getting in a rut
There’s nothing that I won’t do
There’s never a Y when I think of you
A rainbow walk to a pot of gold
Our journey slowly starts to unfold
There’s nothing more that you could do
And you don’t have to
Because I Love You.
