Splendid vinyl only split single from reggae artists Carlton Livingstone and Echo Minott, the debut release of new French label Uniteam
Review
On a track very reminiscent of the ones from the reggae vaults of the great John Holt and Sir Coxsone Dodd, two of the finest voices in roots reggae team up for this fresh French debut on Uniteam.
Singing over what remains to be one of the most addictive riddims, the sugar tainted voice of Carlton Livingstone paves the way for the more upbeat Echo Minott singjaying on the flip. This is an extremely nice coupling to kick off with at the launch of a new label.
Yet, with each time when I hear Carlton mention Maggie I cannot help but think of this bitch who, because of her alliances to the greater evil forces, got us into the neo-conservative financial crisis. Alas, bitch Thatcher has nothing to do with this. Ah, it would've been great when it had.
