Frustratingly limp debut album from Manchester electronic three-piece, I am Your Autopilot
Review
Manchester three-piece I am Your Autopilot make electro so laid back it could put a sugar-addicted 5 year-old boy with ADHD into an 8-year coma. The best way I can think of to describe 'Robots in the Orchestra' is to say that it’s like the musical equivalent of getting a really limp handshake; it’s disappointing, it’s frustrating, and you no longer care about anything the person who gave it to you has to say.
All the way through the album, I was really hoping that at some point the band would just give it a bit of oomph!, really let their hair down and rock out, get angry about something and up the tempo. Sadly, this never happened, and by the time it was over I felt like I needed a shot of adrenaline just to get over the experience.
'Robots In The Orchestra': sadly more Bicentennial Man than The Terminator.
