Placebo - The Never-Ending Why

Label: Dream Brother
Format: CDS
Enthralling latest single from Placebo, which finds the emo giants having lost none of their abuility to make loud and gripping tunes

Review

All the new 'emo' bands plying their trade to mawkish 14 year olds with badly dyed hair and oversized hoodies would do well to stop whining for three minutes and listen to the latest Placebo offering. Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdol and Steven Forrest have been producing loud, gripping and instantly memorable tracks for far longer than I would care to remember. They have all at once stayed the same and stayed fresh. The track opens loud and proud and chucks you straight in. Molko's vocals, high but always masculine and never shrill stop you getting totally lost and by the end of it you are singing along as if you have known this song for years. For ease of reference it put me in mind of 'Every Me and Every You'. It has the same picks you up, spits you out rollercoaster effect. Go buy!
