Autorotation - Everything is Everything

Label: Tekmosh
Format: CD
Anonymous-sounding and indescriptive electronica on debut album from London-based group, Autorotation

Review

The thing though is that this 'Everything is Everything' is anything but remotely interesting. With their soundscapes which sound like soundtracks to ovulation and subsequently to moody periods, Autorotation drones on on automatic. There is no distinction, no refinement. Autorotation is just gathering sounds to go along with vocal noodlings from singer Robyn Sellman of a fairy tale nature. Released ten years earlier with a press kit reading Bristol all over it, 'Everything is Everything' might have cut it. In this day and age, this indescriptive and incoherent collection of lounge electronica and dreamy Britpop is ultimately a waste of time, with a few nice touches along the way it must be said.
