James Yorkston - Tortoise Regrets Hare

Label: Domino Records
Format: 7"
Understated and unlikely new single from folk-influenced Scottish singer-songwriter James Yorkston

Review

Culled from 'When the Haar Rolls In' and what after all may be Scotland's finest album this year, 'Tortoise Regrets Hare' fiddles with a great narrative and is both a gentle and warm song. The purpose to this rather unlikely single release though is King Creosote covering the original in Hot Chip fashion. Given the rising level of stupidity and inanity, witnessed even on BBC Radio 2, I very much doubt whether these two tracks would be given daytime airplay. The world will be a much better place if they were though.

Track Listing:-

1 James Yorkston- Tortoise Regrets Hare
2 King Creosote- Tortoise Regrets Hare
