Jason Sparks tried his luck before; 'Oublie-Moi' now though portrays the perfect blend of vocal breakbeat dubstep and anonymous electronica. 'Oublie-Moi ('Forget (About) Me')' is extremely 'ooh-la-la' in the catchiest fashion imaginable in house music.
As the French would say: je m'en fou de ça! Our Jason Sparks has taken quite some turn from da breakbeats! Young genius Mr Sparks has kept in the dark since his heyday with Botchit & Scarper but after, well nearly five years, he has defied the dubstep challenge. Instead the once chosen master of breakbeats himself has gone retro. Jason Sparks leaves little to be undiscovered on this Contra Bass debut twelve inch, a spin-off from Botchit & Scarper in case you were wondering, and its blistering noise beholds the promise of plenty of Contra Bass items ahead.
