Arthur and Martha - Autovia

Label: Happy Robots
Format: CDS
Bouncy bubblegum pop on debut vinyl single from electro duo Arthur and Martha

Review

Even though they're probably not, Arthur and Martha very much sound like the Cuban Boys spin-off affair that Spray once was. The duo's bouncy bubblegum pop music draws inspiration from muzak just as well from genuine music yet their own brand of it ends up in the middle of those extremes. Arthur and Martha are not the next Abba. They're from Little Britain as it were. 'Squarewave to Heaven' marks the point where Arthur and Martha understood that it takes more to excel than just a tune based on riffs from a synth. The extra bonus from this purchase is the 'Autovia No. 2' closing track. Beating Stereolab on stamina, Arthur and Martha churn out a little instrumental slammer of a new rave tune.

Track Listing:-

1 Autovia
2 Japanese Kiss
