Lecube - 45 Tours No1

Label: Megaphone Music
Format: CDS
Thoroughly ordinary-sounding acoustic punk from Italian-born, but French-based singer songwriter Le Cube

Review

Billy Bragg would never go as far as claiming that, si si, he's a rock star in the South of France, but Le Cube could. Born from Italian parents, Le Cube sings in English and strums his guitar with a conviction we have known to come from, well, guess who. Le Cube is apolitical though. Italian-born in France automatically makes one a romantic fool of course. 'Shoot The Nanny', the A side of this single, is the latest in a series of singles on the Megaphone label from Toulouse and it's not bad at all. It's not anything special either. The two tracks simply last too long. 'Shoot The Nanny' plus 'Creatures' simply aren't single cuts. There is some promise in the two tracks though, but they make you long for under three minute songs from him.

Track Listing:-

1 Shoot The Nanny
2 Creatures
