Dire rock/soul cover of the original Osmonds song
Review
The Osmonds’ heartfelt but insane prediction of nuclear apocalypse is given a robust rock/soul.
The reality is that a couple of blokes in a studio probably put this together, but, if you close your eyes, the end credits to 'The Jonathan Ross Show' are rolling and a mahogany-faced Tom Jones is screaming out the lead vocal, while Jimmy Page hams it up on lead guitar. Cue camera panning to Ross dancing like a half-cut dad at a horrified teen off-spring’s house party, as 4 Poofs And A Piano give it some lungs on backing vocals and the audience goes kerrazeee.
If you happen to be one of those audience members – or if you’re at a wedding disco and have drunk your own bodyweight in WKD alcopops - you’ll love this. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.
