Liam Frost - Mourners Of St Pauls

Label: Select Label
Format: CDS
Breathtaking second single from young Mancurian singer Liam Frost, who is is already being mentioned in the same breath as Damon Gough, Stephen Fretwell, Elbow's Guy Garvey and I am Kloot's Johnny Bramwell

Review

Liam Frost has been making waves in Manchester and is already being mentioned in the same breath as Damon Gough, Stephen Fretwell, Elbow's Guy Garvey and I am Kloot's Johnny Bramwell. On the evidence of this single, the follow-up to the equally impressive 'She Painted Pictures', it is easy to see why. The language he uses to describe the melancholic subject of his father’s funeral is breathtaking from someone of his tender years and the way the song builds to a rousing finish has it earmarked as an anthem for the future. If I was one of the aforementioned gentlemen, I’d keeping a keen (and probably green) eye on this lad’s progress.
