Long Blondes - New Idols

Label: Sheffield Phonographic Corporation
Format: 7"
Jaunty lo-fi girl-fronted pop on latest release from prolific 7" vinyl label, the Sheffield Phonographic Corporation

Review

Dropping through the letterbox with increasing regularity, here comes another hefty slab o’ wax from the prolific Sheffield Phonographic Corporation and this time out it’s the turn of the Long Blondes. And yet again it’s a good ‘un. Jaunty, scatterbrain, lo-fi girl-fronted pop – imagine if you will Phil Spector producing Delta 5 or the Shangri-Las in a rough ‘n’ tumble with the Gang Of Four. Whichever way you want to judge it, I’m afraid that with the added incentive of the heavyweight pink vinyl it’s another absolutely essential purchase that will both brighten up your home and enliven your ears.

Track Listing:-

1 New Idols
