The last track on the EP 'West Coast' explains it all. Doobie Brothers' slicks and riffs set the tone though Colver's momentum arrives on 'Welcome Back to Sunny Ghost City' featuring a guitar lick that might have come off an early Steely Dan album. Merging with a Munich 1970s disco beat, nostalgia lurks around the corner. All in all, this EP rejuvenates pop disco that was popular decades ago. The Belgian West Coast facing Southern England doesn't seem to bother Colver. California aficionados, Colver build a prime example of a wider horizon. Smooth, snappy and slick. Might get played on BBC Radio 2 or 6.
