Excellent seven inch single which takes two tracks from Swedish composer from a 2007 album
Review
The title track translates as "A mild death awaits us all", should you still not know simple Swedish after all those blue grey filtered BBC4 Scandinavian TV detectives programmes. Sweden's organist composer Eric Malmberg's music is notoriously hard to find with just about zilch of his music available on vinyl so this 7 inch on Helsinki's We Jazz comes as a more than welcome surprise. The two tracks appeared on Malmberg's 2007 CD 'Verklighet & Beat' which rapidly sold out and never saw the daylight on vinyl.
In particular the B-Side 'Till minne av Lilly Lindström' embarks on a carpet ride to a destination unknown, and whilst it might sound unfair to the CD album, the next best track from 'Verklighet & Beat' is the A-Side on this 7 inch, which is likely to become one of the most popular funeral songs.
