Debut single from Leeds-based indie guitar act Four Day Hombre, who seem destined for mainstream success
Review
Four Day Hombre are a five piece band from Leeds that are on the verge of mainstream success. They are already on the play list at Radio One having won a One Music Unsigned competition in 2003 and include Coldplay's Chris Martin and Kate Moss among their fans.
They are releasing their debut single '1000 Bulbs' on their own record label Alamo and have got their fans and friends further involved in their music by asking them to buy shares in the label. This is a concept that has worked, and an album will be soon to follow.
The single sounds a little like Coldplay, but with less piano and more guitar. The drumbeats on '1000 Bulbs' are not as pounding as a lot of the rock-pop bands around at the moment. The emphasis instead is on guitar and lyrics.
Four Day Hombre are bound to make it big, but unlike some of the more recent bandwagon jumping bands they have worked hard for over three years and actually deserve some recognition.
