From the heights of the austere North comes Fieldhead who combine together both funky lightweight and also more sinister sounds.
Fieldhead main man Paul Elam is a full-time member of Declining Winter who have been involved in various non-descript spheric experiments. 'They Shook Hands for Hours' builds on the aftermath of Murcof's 'Versailles Sessions' when the lightning bolts hit those objects. Fieldhead works on grounds way too much familiar for his own good.
Fieldhead have attempted to find a step between a lush sound and ambient dubstep They haven't succeded, but the production behind this mini album culminates in a clear overview of pseudo-intellectual surface noise. All that Fieldhead manages to achieve is to leave you longing for Murcof and Burial.
Their constant copycat behaviour is a pretty hard one to ignore.
