The debut release by the recently launched Sheffield Phonographic Corporation is this single-sided heavyweight crimson platter by the sweetly monikered the Motherfuckers and their almost as endearingly titled debut ‘I’m A Fucker’. Seriously though this is as dark, dangerous and fatal as a night in bedlam at Halloween. Their deeply twisted front man intones an equally lurid lyric amidst the cascade of shimmering rusty guitar chords and a pulsating rhythm from the depths of somewhere you’d rather not imagine. As disturbingly a manic few minutes hasn’t come along in quite some time. Snap it up while you still can.
