intro
New single from Liverpudlian indie guitar act Cranebuilders' recent second album, which features two stunning otherwise unreleased extra tracks
‘Public Space’, one of the tracks off Liverpool band Cranebuilders’ recently released second album 'Sometimes You Hear Through Someone Else' , starts off sounding like Elastica, before speeding up and getting more into a groove. Added onto this are two new songs. ‘Layoutstretched’ is slow, has a crawling pace and is as beautiful as early Tindersticks. It is very graceful and elegant, but the last song, ‘Considering the View’, is best of all. It sounds like a cross between Echo and the Bunnymen and the Undertones with it breezy, epic guitar parts, and also throws in some Tindersticks like organ. It is Cranebuilders at their very best ever.
