intro
Professional sounding debut single from new British act Demon Summer, which should appeal to fans of Travis and Coldplay
Demon Summer are good at what they do. This CD sounds very professional, and I'm sure they'll go a long way. If you like Travis and Coldplay, you'll like this lot. Actually, that's a bit unfair. They aren't as depressing as Coldplay and 'Burn' is very pleasant, easy listening for a nice summer's day. It won't offend your Gran, or your Mum, or your Mum's new boyfriend Dave who works for the social and seems an okay guy if a bit boring. I can't give them a bad review, because they are good at what they do. It's just not my sort of thing. Having said that, I did quite like 'No Feelings, No Pain' , the second track on this single. It has wailing guitars and minor chords - I'd like it even better if it suddenly went into heavy drums for the chorus and got all shouty, but it doesn't. I still quite like it though, in a depressing, indie kind of way. But 'Burn' left me cold.
